Chess-grid is a generative design tool intended to capture the dynamics of chess's movements on a board. The grid interprets chess’s algebraic notations to create compositions using the traditional black-and-white colors of the pieces. The pieces fill the squares they move to according to their color; for example, a white opening to d4 would make the d4 square white.
